C.A.T. is now using Microsoft Sharepoint to store shared documents.
Here are some ways to access them:
-
Go to https://office.com and connect with your work email. Then click on the 9 dots at top left. Then click Sharepoint and on Featured links click the C.A.T. Files Server to open it.
-
Click this web link https://cattransport.sharepoint.com/sites/CAT_Files_Server
If you are not seeing Sharepoint, it is possible your licence doesn’t have it yet. You will then have to communicate with support at [email protected] to get access.
When you will be on the site, you will be able to see the documents you have access under documents like this :
You now can click folders and get access to files.
When connected, you can also create shortcuts so next time you don’t need to access this web site to access the documents (to see them from your File Explorer).:
Click on the top row on Sync on the folder you want to create a shortcut (you can create shortcuts on many folders)
If the OneDrive tool is correctly installed on your computer, a new window will then ask you to log with your office email or display a message.
Warning: Computer that does not have Windows 10 can’t benefit from the option to open the files/folders without having a local copy. So for those computers, in the OneDrive setup, each folders selected will be copied to the local computer and it’s possible you won’t be able to select all folders because of local computer hard drive available space. Therefor you will need to select the folders you want to sync and the others will have to be opened by going to Sharepoint.
When done, you will now be able to access those files directly from your computer in File Explorer under the C.A.T. Inc folder.
(To work, you need the OneDrive application and connected to your email account. The application can be seen at bottom right of your computer (near time). If you don’t have it, you will have to communicate with [email protected].
